History Loves Rainbows

What is it about a rainbow that people just love? Is it the promise of a better day? A brighter future? Knowing that there’s something greater out there? Rainbows stand for all of this and more to our Lamy’s family. Afterall, it’s one of the very first brands we started manufacturing within these walls.

Ad for Rainbow Suits

Established in 1866, Rainbow built a brand for service. In an era where men wore suits almost everywhere they went, the Rainbow brand allowed their clothes to be protected and covered while they worked. It wasn’t uncommon for you to find the fellows stripping out of their Rainbow suits and heading straight into an important meeting or even church! They offered style, quality, and satisfaction without the price penalty. We like to think we are following suit at Lamy’s today.

Rainbows Love Color

No matter what part of our building you’re in, what isn’t missing is lack of color. From the deep rich hues of original woodwork, fresh paint that pulls in history with touches of elegance and modernism, to the very food in which we serve, color abounds at Lamy’s.

We think environment and ambiance is important and it was our hope to create separate spaces that allowed you to “feel” a certain way while still flowing inside one large building. If it’s a lunch of leisure at OxHorn you crave, we think our bright environment with modern lighting, abundance of plants, and a wide selection of shopping is the perfect past time.

If you desire a more upscale night out, the rich tones found inside No. 5 Bistro and Bar were designed with you in mind. But, no matter your choice, the plates speak for themselves and trip over themselves with color!

Color Loves Josey

Once you step inside the magical world we call Josey’s, we promise you will return. From the thousands of books, the equally wide selection of records, and spots to soak it all in setup throughout the store, it’s a special place we frequent often. I’ve found the best way to enjoy Josey’s is by first grabbing a cold, glass-bottled Coke from OxHorn Market and then sitting down in those massive comfy chairs with a good book or magazine. We won’t lie…we’ve seen lots of mommas enjoy a quick hour of child-free bliss and we are here for that!

Another way we enjoy Josey’s is by grabbing a drink from No.5 Bistro and Bar. We will let you pick your poision, but we’d be remiss not to mention the fan favorite, Orange is the New Blackberry. It makes the perfect companion to taking a stroll through our record collection. You’ll probably need a refill, as the records are abounding, and most certainly, you’ll want to bring a friend along. Afterall, history loves company.
