History Loves Safety
The Occupational and Safety Health Association (or as most of us refer to it: OSHA) wasn’t invented until April of 1971. However, that doesn’t mean that safety wasn’t a factor in all they did here at Lamy’s. Cutting the denim for jeans was a tough job, and oftentimes could be dangerous. It took a strong and tall man to lean over and manually cut through multiple layers of fabric. Later on, this machine was invented to help cut through the denim.

This special metal glove was worn when cutting. When the machine came too close to the glove or grazed it, it would spark, signifying to stop immediately. Without the glove, it’s safe to say that entire hands may have gone missing. Thankfully, with OSHA in place now, metal gloves and loss of limbs are a thing of history for the most part.
Safety Loves Comfort
It’s true that comfort and safety simply go together like steak and potatoes, like chicken and rice, like ham and cheese. And where can you find all of these comfort and foods in the safety of one cozy historic building? Well, Lamy’s of course! With 2 restaurants on-site, there’s something for truly everyone.

Oxhorn market features are Tex-Mex bowl where you can enjoy chicken and rice plus a few more faves in one hearty dish. Or, try our infamous No. 5 Monte Cristo, filled with hot ham and creamy brie. Craving something a little more upscale and slower-paced? You can’t miss when you order steak at the No. 5 Bistro. And as always it comes with creamy garlic mashed potatoes, but of course. No one should ever sacrifice safety and comfort. And we don’t.
Comfort Loves Josey
When we think of comfort safety and just a general downtime in life it’s hard to think of anything but Josey records. If you’ve been inside these walls you know the atmosphere is smooth, calm, and easy to get lost in. A world where book lovers and music lovers collide in the building that dreams are made of.

And dropping tomorrow? One of this generation’s biggest icons, Adele, releases her new album: 30. You’re gonna wanna get here early and get your copy, as they are limited. The doors open at 10! See you then. Oh and bring a friend… or six. After all, history loves company.
