May Is a Lot. Lamy’s Has You Covered.
Somebody decided that Mother’s Day, graduation season, and the first real patio weather of the year should all happen at the same time.
We didn’t make the rules. We just built a historic factory building with a bistro, a candle lab, a record shop, and a patio to help you survive them.
Here’s what’s happening at Lamy’s this May.
Brunch Just Got Better

No. 5 Bistro & Bar has a new brunch menu, and honestly, it’s the upgrade May deserves.
We’re not going to spoil every detail here — some things are better discovered in person. What we will say is that Saturday mornings just became a lot more interesting.
Brunch runs Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Reservations are always a good idea. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows.
The Patio Is Open and the Drinks Are Cold
There’s a particular kind of happiness that comes from sitting outside in Sedalia in May with something good in your glass.

The No. 5 patio is back in full swing — and whether you’re coming for a long lunch, an after-work cocktail, or a dinner that turns into just one more round, this is the spot.
It’s also one of our favorite private event spaces. Birthday dinners, work celebrations, casual gatherings — the patio holds a crowd and does most of the decorating itself. Reach out to reserve it for your group.
Something New Is Coming from the Candle Lab
The Candle Lab by Lamy’s is dropping a new scent, and we’re keeping the details close for now.
Follow us on social so you’re not the last to know. In the meantime, the current collection is in-house and very giftable — which brings us to our next point.
Gifts for Moms. Gifts for Grads. You’re Welcome.
Mother’s Day is May 11th. If your plan is still “figure it out later,” now is the time to figure it out.
Lamy’s has options that don’t feel like a last-minute gas station run. Handmade candles from the Candle Lab. Books and records from Josey. A gift certificate to No. 5 for a brunch she’ll genuinely look forward to. Or go big — book her a stay at The Suites at 112 by Lamy’s, our boutique suites in the heart of historic downtown Sedalia.

Graduation season is also here. Dinner at a real restaurant inside a 130-year-old building beats a paper tablecloth party at home. No. 5 is available for private dining and group reservations — let us know what you’re planning and we’ll take it from there.
Your Event Deserves a Better Venue
There’s a reason people keep coming back to Lamy’s for their gatherings.
Exposed brick. Factory windows. A bar that knows what it’s doing. And enough history in the walls to make any occasion feel like it actually meant something.
No. 5 Bistro & Bar is available for private dining events — corporate lunches, rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, you name it.
The Suites at 112 works beautifully for bachelorette weekends, family visits, and anyone who wants to stay downtown instead of off the highway.
The building itself has hosted everything from small team retreats to large celebrations. If you have an event and you’re not sure where to put it, we probably have a space for it.
